I have a Gerz stein with nickel plated copper lid which may indicate manufacture between 1919 and 1945. It has an excellent sharp/clear molding with fine detail. One side depicts the head and shoulders image of a conquistador (or 6th century soldier) with armour and helmet. Intertwined in the intricate design on the helmet there are the letters BR which I imagine are the designers/artist initials. Can anybody put a name to these initials please and perhaps give some details of his work?
