I came across a pressed glass stein w/lid that has a small, pointed amber colored crystal, about 1/2" in diameter, inlaid into the top of a fairly standard pointed pewter lid. I don't collect glass, but saw this and thought should have because I either had not seen one or had not noticed one before. How common is this practice? By the way, the embossing on the bottom of the stein says GS within a crown but I could not find this in Les Hoppers info--is his info strictly ceramic? I presume amber for amber beer, and by the way, when you look thru the crystal it shows a six pointed star in the light--see my other inquiry about six pointed star meaning.
