See the article in the Library section titled "Jeweled Lids: Myths and Superstitions. The raised letters on the base of your pressed glass stein are actually SG (you may be looking at it from the wrong side) standing for Saxon Glass. The reason there are few to no glass marks listed in Hopper's work is that the vast majority of glass is unmarked, SG being an exception.
