I found a brass bound wooden stein made of minature staves. The guy I bought it from said it was made for his father by a barrel cooper back around 1890s-1900s. There are 6 brass hoops binding the staves together & the whole thing is in immaculate condition. In some ways though it looks more like a tankard to me. The wooden lid is flat, afixed the wooden handle, and has a simple design scored in the top. It is still functions perfectly. Any idea of its actually name or value?
