"Original King, Austria" in their circle stamp. Yes, there is the catch--it doesn't say MADE in Austria! But, it doesn't say made in Germany either. By the way, they stopped production on the "stag grotto stein" in 1998 and those would be "Austria". I believe all the current ones, eagle and german sheperd are "Germany". Maybe stags are less popular in Germany?
