The fact that the stein has the incised mark and is stamped "Made in Germany" means it was manufactured prior to 1949 probably prior to WWII (1939) and after 1900 when the incused triagle was first used. Here is a artick on Gerz: http://www.thepatriotexchange.com/pss/spgerz.htm
