For lack of a better word John, no. It's body was like a more typical white clay/no lithophane with painted bands across top and bottom and the coat of arms in front was divided into 4. I remember in the upper right quadrant it was the bavarian COA and the lower left quadrant the left half of a black eagle (prussia) the other two were either unfamiliar to me or I cannot remember. The two things that struck me were again the thumblift and the color of the flag. There were no military figures or references, so likely student stein, that is why I referred to it as "regimental" and that is how the tag listed it. I searched cwflags database for any german flags with that coloring and could not locate any such colors. Any more insight?
