Can someone please translate this Mettlach phrase for me: Diogenes der Alten Narr verdrossen hockt Erda und Starr wo selbst der Alten Gotter ewige jungenkraft verschmaht dir liebe nicht noch weniger den rebensaft. I know it goes something like this: Diogenes the old fool sits uncomfortably stiff on the ground where by himself God loves the old man eternally with youthful strength. Don't love only a little juice of the vine. I am a little off and it doesn't quite make sense nor do I know what 'verschmaht'means. Can someone please give me an accurate translation? I know there are a few of you who are quite versed in 'Alte Deutsch' Also, I looked it up in the 1001 translations by Les Hopper and it is not in there. Thank you!!
