Robert, The original mold was made by Rosskopf & Gerz (RuG). They went out of business around WWI after the death of Gerz. Eckhardt & Engler used to distribute their steins and eventually got into the stein making business and bought the RuG molds around 1922. Eckhardt & Engler ceased business around 1971. Ron
