In regards to selling on eBay with and having the bidders private, I do this on occasion. Especially around xmas time, where some folks might NOT want their kids, spouses, etc. seeing what they're buying. Also, I've done this on objects of high cost, as I personally know several book dealers who buy with one ebay id and then sell with another. For expensive items I offer privacy.
