"V3" is presumably what you see as part of the trademark, this is actually VB (Villeroy & Boch). It is form 2778 made in 1902. "1/9" is actually "1/2", the capacity of the stein. Heinrich Schlitt was the artist, and in mint condition the stein has normal retail value of $1000-$1200.
