The sentiment here is that all one needs to survive is beer, radishes and bread, but I think there's more to life than just survival. This stein is a PUG (printed under glaze) by Villeroy & Boch (no "M" or "Mettlach") or date mark, ca. 1880's.
Bei Bier, Radi, Broth gib's koa Noth.	With beer, radish (and) bread, one has no (other) needs.
