~ Bei Singen und Sagen ~

This is a 1/2 L. relief Mettlach stein #1370 made in 1899. The verse is just plain good advice and/or rational for those who like to drink beer. This example was used in the "Transcription" prelude by Dr. Roy De Selms in Col. Les Hopper's book of translations.

Bei Singen und Sagen,
nach Mühen und Plagen,
thut jeder sich laben
an Gottes herrlichen Gaben!
With singing and story-telling,
after hard work and worry,
let everyone refresh themselves
with God's splendid gifts!
