~ Bin ein fahrender Gesell ~

There's a little Bayrisch (Bavarian dialect) in this verse from a folksong, but the meaning seems clear on this Jugendstil (youth style = modern art) stein without lid, ca. early 1900's.

Bin ein fahrender Gesell,
kenne keine Sorgen
Zieh ich in ein Städtchen ein,
spür ich's im Gehirn,
Wo man trift den besten Wein,
küßt die schönste Dirne.
I am a traveling fellow,
I know no sorrow.
I pull into a town,
sense in my brain,
where one goes for the best wine,
(and) to kiss the most beautiful maiden.
