This glass stein without lid was given probably as a joke to a friend who was nicknamed "Mutton King". I suspect the name is something like "Mutton Head" in English and might refer to someone in a game. The glass stein without lid with a ruby-flashed and cut-to-clear decor is dated 1855 and is one case where the date actually indicates the year when the decoration was applied to a blank that might have been made earlier and pulled off the shelf for decorating.
