Die Braut von Rheinstein Rheinische Burgen und Sagen Auf Rheinstein öffnet sich weit das Thor. D'raus reitet ein Hochzeitszug hervor. Die Braut so traurig mit bleichem Gesicht, den Man ihr bestimmt, sie liebt ihn nicht, sein Anblick bereitet ihr tiefen Schmerz. Denn für einen Andern schlägt ihr Herz. Da--ein Bienlein stach's Roß, es bäumt und flieht, auf hohem Söller der Geliebte es sieht. Schnell stürmt er und öffnet das Thor seiner Burg, Da sprengt auf dem Zelter die Braut schon hindurch. Fest nimmt er die Liebste nun in den Arm, wie leuchtet ihr Aug', so inning und warm: "Man wollte uns trennen durch feilen Verrat, Gott wandte zum Guten die böse That". |
The bride from Rheinstein Rhine Castles and Sagas Rheinstein castle opened its gate wide. Therefrom a wedding procession rode out. The bride so sad with a pallid face, the husband for certain, she loved him not, his countenance caused her deep pain. Because her heart beat for another. Then a little bee stung the horse, it reared and ran. and the lover saw it from a high loft. Quickly he stormed and opened the castle gate. Then the bride sprang out on the horse. Now he took his lover by the arm, how her eyes lit, so intimate and warm: "One wanted us separated through treacherous sale, (but) God changed the bad deed for the good". |
