~ Die alten Deutschen ~
Here's a nice 1 L. light relief, salt-glazed, stoneware stein with a verse that I don't quite understand. It sounds like the old Germans were giving their gods the sour beer and keeping the good stuff for themselves and that's not a bad idea. It is marked "110" and was made ca. 1900.
Die alten Deutschen opfern hier ihren Göttern bier, wahrscheinlich ist's ein saueres u. nicht viel Schad dafür.	The old Germans offer their gods beer here, possibly it is sour and therefore not too bad.
