~ Grüß Gott, tritt ein ~

Grüß Gott! is literally "Greet God!" and is used to say "Hi" or "Greetings" in Bavaria and Southern Germany. This is an etched stein by JWR (JW Remy) marked "1343 Germany" ca. 1900.

Grüß Gott, tritt ein,
bring Glück herein.
Greetings, come in,
(and) bring luck in (with you).
