The German Parliament or Diet Building was opened in 1894 and used until a fire caused its closure in 1933. It stood vacant, but secure until it was refurbished in 1999 and has been used by the reunited German government ever since. The now archaic word Reichstag (German Diet) has been replaced by Bundestag (Federal Diet or Parliament). The stein is from the period ca. 1900.
