~ Hans Sachs, Schuhmacher und Dichter ~
This is a shoemaker occupational, etched/glazed stein designed by Otto Hupp and marked with the Mettlach logo and mold number 2722 ca, 1900. Hans Sachs was used as the main feature because he was a shoemaker by trade and also a famous poet and promoter of Martin Luther. He was born in 1494, raised and died in 1576 in Nuremberg.
