This verse describes the best hand in the card game called Skat. The four jacks (knaves) are the four highest trumps, allowing the player to make the highest bid. The incised stein is marked with the logo of Reinhold - Merkelbach and form number 928, ca. 1900.
Mit vier Wenzel in der Hand - kommt man durch das ganze Land.	With four jacks in the hand, one comes thru the whole land.
