The verses on the stein are in Latin and are translated here into
German and then to English. The two steins on the front are labeled "G S" (Gebruder Spaten -
Spatenbräu) and "H B" (Hofbräu), the famous Munich beers.
This is a fairly rare stein marked with the Metlach logo and mold number
2004 and dated 1890. It does not appear in any of the Mettlach catalogs
and was probably a special order.
