This represents the alliance of Germany and Austro-Hungary going into WWI. The stein is marked with the Mettlach
logo (which has a U.S. trademark) and mold number 1526 and decor number 1502 and dated 1915.
This stein is one in a series which have German and Austrian leaders of the period all of which where made for
the American market before the U.S. entered WWI in 1918.
