~ Die Turnerei schaft, Mannes u. Kraft ~
The verse on this J.W. Remy relief stein marked "Germany 1452" seems to be saying that the strength one gets from gymnastics is much more than what one gets from drinking wine. More information on the Turners (gymnasts) can be found in the translations of the other German words on this stein -- Gut Heil; Frisch, From, Fröhlich und Frei and the salutation: Prosit.

Die Turnerei schaft, Mannes u. Kraft,
vielmehr noch als dem Rebensaft
Gymnastics creates, men and strength,
much more than the grape juice (wine).
