~ Wachkommando Plassenburg Weihnachten 1915 ~
This is a WWI military stein presented during Christmas 1915 when Germany was at war with most of the rest of Europe. The soldier represented was stationed at Plassenburg Castle in Bavaria, ca. 1915. The initials M E are on the lid. The Wachkommando designation is rarely seen on German military or regimental steins. However several steins like this celebrating the 1915 Christmas are known to exist, perhaps indicating that this stein may have been given out with others as a Christmas gift to the members of the Wachkommando.
