| This glass stein with enameled Edelweiss, is asking a drinker to consider why he is drinking. Attaching the glass handle at the bottom first (the bigger blob of glass) for better strength was not done until the end of the 1800's. Together with the closed hinge and no capacity mark would place the time of manufacture at the early part of the last quarter of the 1800's. | |
