| This Cobalt-Blue, glass stein is from the mid 1800's and bears a salutation or toast meaning "To your health or well being". You've probably also heard the exclamation "Gesundheit!" (To your health!) after one sneezes follwed by the response "Danke schön!" (Thank you very much!). In olden times it was thought that sneezing was good for one's health and was also prompted preferably by sniffing snuff. | |
