~ Mei Vater hoaßt Faßl ~
This relatively rare Parian stein is thought to be made by Villeroy & Boch at Mettlach, ca. 1862, and has been seen with the number 728. The scene is a copy of one of the Ludwig Foltz II's VBM #328 steins. The verse is in Bayerisch (Bavarian) dialect and is self explanatory. The scene shows Gambrinus laying over a barrel filling up Ludwig Foltz's designed "walking steins" which are perhaps implied to be the offspring of the barrel. See: Prosit 6/2010 pp. 6-11.

Mei Vater hoaßt Faßl
und I’ bi’ sei’ Bua,
er laßt die schoe grüßn,
sollst trinka grad gnua.
My father’s name is Barrel
and I am his son;
he sends you greetings
and says “Drink up”.
