~ Wenn vom Krug der Deckel springt ~
This Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) stein by A. J. Thewalt, mold #718, is attributed to Wilhelm Kamp, ca. early 1900's. This verse seems to say that whenever a stein of beer in uncovered, it pays homage to Munich (the Beer Capitol of the World) as represented by the Munich Child.

Wenn vom Krug der Deckel springt
sei willkommen Münch'ner Kind
If the lid springs (open) from the stein,
then the Munich Child is welcomed.
