This illustration accompanies an article regarding the origins of a mark known to stein collectors as the "TP" mark. The major portions of the Thewalt family tree are shown in the center. To the left is information about the firm of Johann Peter Thewalt, originator of the "TP" trademark, and two other Westerwald stoneware firms with family ties to the Thewalts. To the right is information about the firms of Albert Jacob Thewalt Paulus & Thewalt. Both of these latter firms continue in operation today.
