| The Diesinger character steins, as exemplified by the clown seen to the
right, are colorful and whimsical. Unlike many other character steins, they make
little reference to drinking habits or culture, city towers, historical or
religious figures, bowling or hunting. They base their appeal on lovable faces -
the entertaining clowns of a circus, the neighbor holding his cat or strolling
with his umbrella in hand, the butcher from the shop on the corner. They require
no special explanation, they simply offer amusement. |
