I want to know who is the manufacturer of this beerstein? At the bottom of the beerstein there is a number – 1101. There is no such beerstein in the catalogs, on ebay, too.
There is a stamp on the lid – A. Miksch. I understand it is a pewter lid manufacturer.
By the style of design of the stein it seems to me that it could be Adolf Diesinger, but this is just a guess
It is a good guess. The number is unlisted in their catalog and it does fit in with their threaded relief steins.
Sometimes people bought steins without lids or needed a replacement lid. Miksch provided such a service. I doubt he bought steins to put lids on for resale as stated in Stein Marks.
