AnonymousI just joined this club. I am trying to find out if there exists any early pre-war steins with a BMW logo on it or with Bavarian Motor Werks written on it. Do you experts in this field know if there is anything like that to be found out there? Thanks much. Jim Hopkins

RonI presume by pre-waryou mean WWII because BMW was formed after WWI. They didn’t get into autos until 1928-29. You might want to ask Walt about the age as it could be post-WWII.

Anonymousthanks everyone. this is sooo helpful. yes. i meant pre WWII. BMW came into being in 1916 and made their first motorcycle engine in 1921 and then made their first complete motorcycle in 1923. as noted by Ron, they made their first car in 1928. i am always looking for BMW items from the 1920s through the 1950s. thanks everyone. my email address is hawkstooth@verizon.net if any of you find or learn of any early bmw steins please contact me!!! jim
