GeorgeHello,
I’m looking to buy antique brewery steins from Germany.
-
TraceyHi George,
I have a Biblical Stein like the one in this article that I am putting up for sale. I am in the UK
http://stein-collectors.org/steinmo/2009/Jan/biblical.htmlMine is missing the lid and has a damaged handle which someone (not me) attempted to repair using glue. Let me know if you are interested.
Regards
Tracey -
GeorgeThank you for your response. However, I am looking for brewery steins.

ErikkaHello George,
We are selling part of my father’s antique stein collection. I need to make a few calls to get photos, but the collection includes beer steins, Mettlach steins and some steins and pitchers that are in the neighborhood of 14″. I don’t know if we still have regimental steins.
Please let me know if you are interested.

Cathy FabichHello,
I have a beer stein from the Berg-Brauerei brewery and I believe it to be in the 1850-1865 time frame. It is a half-liter clear glass hand-blown with an applied handle. The body has been faceted around the base, thumbprint cut above the waistline, and fitted with a porcelain inlaid lid in pewter mounts. The position of the thumblift (over the lid) and the closed pewter hinge indicate this earlier date. There are no manufacture or country markings on the bottom. The stein is 5 ½” tall and 3 ½ “ wide, it weighs a little over 2 pounds I. Please email me back if you are interested in purchasing this stein. I have pictures ready to send.

Hello,
Exactly what age range are you interested in? Antique to some could be defined as 25-50 years old and to others 51-100+ years old.
I have quite a few brewery ones that fall in the 25-50 year old time frame, can provide pictures if you are interested. Also the ones I have are lidless mug types.Matt

GeorgeMatt,
Antiques ceramics are 100 years old or older… Your 25-50 years would fall under old…. Vintage is generally 50-99 years old… Anyway, people generally use these terms loosely that are not in the antiques trade…
Currently I am not interested in the 25-50 year time frame.
Thank you for your post.
