I have a w litre potcelain stein marked with the blue eagle and C.T. mark of Carl Tielsth of Altwasser. The same piece appears on page 136 of Gary Kisners Beer Stein Book and is attributed to K.P.M (Kaiser Porzellan Manufactur) of Berlin. Was Tielsth a merchant of did he manucature this stein ?

    Christopher,

There are two KPM steins on page 136, so we don’t know which one you have. Carl Tielsth once used the initials T.P.M., which could be confused with K.P.M. See, https://www.porcelainmarksandmore.com/related/silesia/altwasser-01/index.php. Your stein probably was made by Carl, but without seeing both steins and both marks I can’t comment further.

Thanks Ron. Just got around to reading your reply. Am quite assured that my stein is CT. Kind regards. Chris
