DenisHi, I’m From Belgium and I would like to know some information (name-origine-date,….) about the stein I’ve found today. It’s the first time I bought this kind of “antiques”. I bought it because of the beautiful painted background but I don’t know if it’s a copy or an original. There’s a lithophane in the bottom. I think pictures will do a better job than my description but I don’t know how to add pictures in my message, I will do a try.

Your stein is porcelain, patriotic military theme, circa 1900. The prism lid is both uncommon and desirable. Manufacturer is not identifiable, which is common for porcelain steins.

DenisThanks a lot for these information. I paid it 50 euros but have no idea if it’s too much or a good deal. I know there’s no cotation for that sort of thing so.. I suppose that the real price could only be determined by putting it on ebay and waiting the end of the auction.. Maybe one day.. Thanks!
