Bob FryI recently purchased a pewter hourglass with the maker mark in a triangle the letters BMF over the letter N. I understand this West German maker made a series of steins, but apparently the hour glass by the same maker is not as common. Could anyone give me the name and location of the maker with this mark? Thanks.

RonBob,
This is the mark of BMF C. Koch GmbH Nürnberg, see http://www.steinmarks.co.uk/pages/pv.asp?p=stein768.

Tony RandallI have three different glass steins, marked “Made in W. Germany” on the inside lid edge and has the BMF over N inside a triangle. I can find nothing on it so far. These come from my now deceased Unvle who was stationed in Germany while in the U.S. Army circa late 1950’s – 1960’s.
Have you learned anything about the marking?

Candy SoukupHello, I have a clear glass “cup” with BMF N marking in a triangle, and the number 5 with 7 dots to the right of the 5 on the bottom of the glass. The piece is 2 13/16″ tall, 3 9/16″ base and 3 1/4″ diameter at the top of the glass. I see the German manufacturer BMF C Koch from the previous information above. How can I tell the age of the glass, and if it is worth anything to a collector? Thank you for your help.

Barbara HerendeenI HAVE A STEIN THAT SHOWS MEN AND WOMEN WALKING. Has an emblum with a deer prancing with a shield and two trees. BMNF in a triangle on the bottom.
What can you tell me about it? What year? -
