LoganHey guys!
My grandfather passed away and let an awesome stein behind. I found it and have looked for this one in particular and have not found anything like it. I have found similar ones but none with the boar on the top.
Does anyone have any information or know of where I can find more information about this stein?
Any help would be appreciated!

RonThis is a modern era stein made by the firm of Simon Peter Gerz in the 1980s. It is not rare. The stein features a hunting scene in the center panel and cherubs on the side panels. The lid is either pewter or an inset with a figural animal insert. It is neither expensive (under $50) nor highly collectible. A number of them are listed on ebay, but I did not see one with a boar. Have patience, you will find one. Don’t forget to check closed auctions as they will also give you an idea on price. Simon Peter Gerz is no longer in business although the name has been purchased and is still used today.

Since it was your grandfathers I recommend you keep it. One of my grandfathers steins started me with stein collecting.
If you decide to sell this one I would be interested.
