Purchased a Beer Stein recently at a car boot and was hoping to get some information and value?
It’s an 1886 anniversary of Heilderberg university 500 years with a hand carved painting of the grand duke Fridorich Grossherzog which appears to be shaped as a medal or coin?
It has a pewter lid on hinge with a pheonix on the top of the handle and what appears to be a figure of a man on top the lid?
At the base the numbers although faded say 230 or 250
It has two tiny chips but all in all in great shape

Your stein may be by Johann Glatz. See https://www.steinmarks.co.uk/pages/pv.asp?p=stein348 and let us know if your stein is on that page. This stein was also in a 2018 auction and was passed ata starting bid of $240 (excludes the 25% buyer’s premium for the auction house), see https://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/65396038_majolica-anniversary-heidelberg-university-stein. The thumblift is probably a griffin rather than a phoenix. The man is Perkeo, the jester that guarded Heidelberg castle.
The two chips keep your stein from being considered mint. While they can be repaired, it will not raise the value to mint.

Just managed to open link.
#250 is very similar indeed. Apart from the bird on the handle and the little man on top is different it’s almost the same Stein
