    This 7-inch high x 4-inch wide stein was given to me by my Grandparents 40 years ago. It has been stored and protected all those years. I am not a stein collector and would like to sell it to someone that would appreciate it. It is the Merkelbech & Wick “Monk” 270III stein (hands above rope belt).
    The coloration is similar to the photo in the lower-left corner of this website.

    Pottery/stoneware in good condition with no apparent cracks or chips. The pewter ring around the lid has a slight ding that is barely noticeable. Never been washed or cleaned and some dried brown residue on the bottom of the stein. Relief and painting are very pronounced.
