[JL Stein]

Hi,

I have a german beer stein. Can you help me identify it, please? The pewter on the inside is shiny, though I’m not sure that detail shows up in the photos. Thanks!

This is a nice Mettlach stein and can be seen in The Beer Stein Libary. That should give you most of the information you need. There should be a two-digit number below and to the right of the form number, 2394. that will give you the year it was made. An 87 is 1887 and an 01 is 1901.
