Each of my siblings and I were left a stein by our great aunt and uncle, who were like grandparents to us.
One of my brothers left his on a shaky shelf, another brother bumped the shelf, and the stein hit the floor, breaking into several pieces.
Carly,
Check out the china, porcelain, ceramic repair or restoration places in your area. Restoration can be very expensive. I had two pieces glued back to the body of a stein many years ago. It cost $50, almost what the stein was worth. A complete restoration would have cost $275. The stein had sentimental value and it looks good enough and serves its purpose.
