JoeI know this is not the most valuable stein but my German grandfather gave this to me. Hopping to find the maker/time frame it was made

Mold 1035 was made by Johann Peter Thewalt. I couldn’t find mold 1420.

I haven’t been able to find anything on 1420. I know it’s nothing special just curious on the maker/ time frame. It seems a lot of companies made steins similar in style.

It may have been made by Reinhold Merkelbach. That number is missing from the RM catalogs.
Try searching ebay.com and ebay.de periodically.

JW Remy made a 1/2L stein with the model 1420 and classified it as modern with a flat bottom. I have no photos or other description than that. This stein has none of the typical marks and characteristics of JW Remy pieces, so is unlikely made by them. I would guess made in the 20’s to 40s’
