I have found all the information about this stein which was my step-father’s. Pottery, relief, 0.5L, pewter lid.The central image on this stein depicts the Meteor III, a German Imperial yacht commissioned by Kaiser Wilhelm II. The New York built yacht was christened in 1902 by Alice Roosevelt, daughter of then President Theodore Roosevelt, in a ceremony attended by both the President and German Prince Heinrich, brother of the Kaiser.
Price Ranges
Full-color: $350-$450
My mother is interested in selling this as well as several other steins he had purchased over the years before he passed last year. I am wondering if this is the best place to sell them or if there is another venue that would be better.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you. -

RonKaren,
I can view the images by opening them in a new page.

KarenI can’t seem to get the photos to load.

RonKaren,
What you have is a modern reproduction of the original. It only goes for a fraction of the price of the original. Try selling it on ebay or craigslist. -
KarenThe number on the bottom is 1099 of 5000. There are several other markings on the bottom also. Are you sure it’s a reproduction?
-
RonKaren,
Yes, I am sure. If you look on the bottom I am sure it says West Germany. West Germany was a separate country from 1949-1990. That is the modern era, post-WWII.

They didn’t make and number limited editions until the second half of the 20th century.
