I have a wooden beer “stein” krug with copper banding in very good condition and would like to know its origin and value? It has a lid and is stamped “Original D.R.G.M” on the handle. There are German instructions for cleaning.
D.R.G.M means Deutsches Reichsgebrauchsmuster which is a registered trade mark within Germany. Can you post a picture of the item. So far, I’m guessing this is a modern stein.
Is there a five or six digit number on the stein? If so, you can find out who registered the number. The “Reichs” part of the name was changed after WW II.
