~ Auf der Alm da gibt's koa Sünd ~

The Alm is the summer pasture in the mountains where Bavarians take their flocks and merriment surrounds the occasion. The first line of this Bayrisch (Bavarian dialect) verse is usually taken in another way like "anything goes", but another take on it is presented here. The PUG (printed under glaze) stein is of recent manufacture, ca. late 1900's.

Auf der Alm da gibt's koa Sünd
weil's da alle müde sind.
On the mountain meadow there is no sin
because there everyone is exhausted.
