~ Vergiß mein nicht ~
This verse has several meanings: 1. Some of the flowers are "forget-me-nots". 2. This stein could be "in remembrance" of someone. and 3. It could mean not to forget to fill me up with a good beer. The stein is hand-painted, milk glass of the Biedermeier period, ca. second quarter of the 19th century. Milk-glass was used as an inexpensive substitute for porcelain in hard times.
Vergiß mein nicht.	Forget me not!
