This self-explanatory verse appears to be from a German student drinking song and "Eva" must be a generic beautiful young maiden. The etched stein is marked with the Mettlach logo, form number 2520, designer's initials "HS" (Heinrich Schlitt) and dated 1906.
Was kann uns mehr erfreuen, als Weib, Gesang und Wein? Ein gut Glas Bier um halber acht, wenn mir's die Eva hat gebracht.	What can give us more pleasure than women, song and wine? A good glass of beer about half to eight (7:30), when it's brought to me by Eva.
