This pottery stein made by Mettlach, no. 1909/727, is signed by H. Schlitt.

The four words of text (all the words are not shown in the images below) explain the scenes shown on the stein. The last word "Kranz" describes the situation shown below on the right where the central pin is left standing, surrounded by the others that have been knocked down making a wreath or crown around the "King" pin.
