~ Der Nebel steigt, es fallt das Laub ~
This 2.5 L. etched stein by J W Remy, marked "962", ca. 1900, shows a festive scene. The verse is an excerpt from the poem Oktoberlied (October's song) by the famous writer, Theodor Storm (1817 - 1888), and is a pleasant way to suggest having a drink in the Fall after the harvest.

Der Nebel steigt, es fallt das Laub,
schenk ein den Wein den holden!
The mist rises, the leaves fall,
pour the pleasing wine!
